| Taking Action |
|
Taking action on sustainable issues in a school requires visioning and planning to see where change can be made. The catalyst to making things happen is having enthusiastic young people and staff wanting to take ideas to the next level of action, whether that's a themed week, extra curricula project or young people leading learning for younger pupils. The Projects section shows exciting young people's initiatives in Kenya and the sorts of projects already taking place in UK schools. There are some excellent tools available to help with action planning with your group, letting students take the lead, and getting the whole school involved [resources sheet]. An ICC action planning session can be downloaded here and please contact the relevant ICC team for individual support in putting your ideas in to action. We can also connect your school with relevant people, or 'Change-Makers', already busy doing something about Climate Change. They might be specialists in alternative technologies, the science of Climate Change or have an international link. Contact your ICC team to find out more. |
